I'm a mom of three boys. My youngest will be a year old in December. It wasn't until him, and until my husband and I had decided that we weren't having any more children that I realized just how quickly time flies. I'm embarrassed to say that in my head I actually believed that he would stay a newborn for the first year. That I would have this little baby to cuddle and hold and rock and kiss and cuddle and hold for a full year. But no - that's not how it works. 

I work with a lot of families who allow me to capture their child's growth during their first year. This is something I am truly honored to do. These moments, these days, these months are so fleeting. We blink and they're crawling. As soon as we're done being captivated by that skill they decide to throw us a curve ball and start walking. And before we are able to catch our breath they have had a growth spurt and somehow they ended up almost as tall as we are in the fourth grade. I'm referring to my oldest son on that one. 

But enough about me. This is Wayland. I will soon be taking his 6 month portraits. And I will be amazed at that session at how much I know he will have changed. But this is Wayland at 3 months. I can't wait to see him again!
