When I pulled into the wedding venue, on the day of Amber and Jeremy's wedding, my jaw dropped. I had only seen photographs of The Clifton Inn in online searches as I tried to prepare myself for this wedding. I'm not sure that those photographs prepared me for the elegance and beauty that was in store. 

I quickly realized that this was going to be one of the weddings of my dreams. We were whisked to the private quarters where the bridal party was staying for the weekend. It offered so many beautiful opportunities for pictures. From elegant windows and walls, to exquisite doorways, and enchanting rooms, and amazing landscaping and architecture. 

Amber was surrounded by her eight bridesmaids who were fulfilling their duties of making her day fabulous, and they were doing a fabulous job at it. We started with detail shots as they put the finishing touches on hair and makeup. Then my assistant and I went to work doing the portraits of the bridesmaids and groomsmen, and getting as many bridal portraits of Amber as we could squeeze in before the big moment arrived. 

On the croquet lawn, the couple exchanged their vows in a beautiful setting. Even though it was calling for rain, everything seemed in fall in place offering a day of perfection for Amber and Jeremy. And what stood out to me the most on this day, was something that might be slightly different. While most bride's want the attention to be centered on them, they want to stand in the spotlight, and to bask in the moments. Amber and Jeremy have a beautiful daughter. And Amber is an incredible mom. See on her wedding day, I realized that these moments she had spent months planning and coordinating with her friends and family weren't just for her and Jeremy, and they weren't just to join a man and a woman. What Amber and Jeremy were doing was creating magical moments for their family of three. 

This day was rightfully about Amber, Jeremy and Mayzie. I don't know that I have ever seen, or will ever again see a mom reach for her daughter in the middle of her wedding ceremony with such grace, poise and sheer happiness. I would never have expected to witness a mom give so much attention and devotion to her daughter during her wedding day than I witnessed from Amber. I may never see what I witnessed on May 10 again, but I am blessed to have been a part of it. 

There are so many things in life that are important, and on their wedding day and during their wedding Amber and Jeremy reminded me of one of the things in life that are most important. Family, and the love of parents for their child. Everything about this day was amazing from the beginning to the end. Thank you Amber and Jeremy for allowing me to be present for such a special day and to capture what I hope are images that you will cherish throughout your lifetime.
